Exometer Alerts
SMS alerts
Exometer is a website and API monitoring service. Customers can choose to get alerts about the websites and APIs they monitor by text message. Exometer sends texts only to numbers that their owners added and confirmed themselves, and never sends marketing or promotional texts.
What we send
- Outage alerts when a monitored website or API goes down, confirmed from a second location.
- Reminders while it stays down, if the customer turned them on.
- Recovery messages when it comes back up.
- Expiry warnings before a website’s certificate or domain registration expires.
- Verification codes that confirm a number before any alert is sent to it.
How to opt in
- Sign in to Exometer at app.exometer.com and open Channels.
- Choose Add channel, then SMS, and enter your mobile number.
- Tick the consent box, which is unchecked until you tick it, after reading the disclosure below it, then choose Add channel.
- We text a six-digit verification code to the number. Alerts start only after you enter it in Exometer.

Frequency and cost
Message frequency varies with your monitors: you hear from us only when something you monitor goes down, stays down, recovers, or nears an expiry date. Standard message and data rates may apply. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Stopping and help
Reply STOP to any message to opt out; you’ll get one message confirming you’re unsubscribed and no further messages. You can also delete the number in Exometer at any time. Reply HELP for help, or contact us below.
Privacy
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
